Arctinurus Hypostome
This fossil is what is left of a feeding scoop or hypostome of the
Arctinurus
trilobite. Long ago upon the seafloor that is now Clark County, Indiana this creature roamed around looking for food. Fossil came from the Silurian Period Waldron Shale.
See more about the
Arctinurus
at this previous posting. Thanks to Kenny for loaning me the fossil to photograph.
