In the evening of June 11th, 1909, a strong quake hit Provence, in south-eastern France. Many villages and small towns were partially (Salon-de-Provence, Saint-Cannat) to totally destroyed (Rognes, Lambesc). The death toll reaches 46, with additional 250 wounded.
