They are anxiously awaiting the monsoon in India. It will bring flooding rains, but at least it will cool the temperatures back to near 33°C, instead of the 47°C they saw in some spots today! That is over 118° on the old Fahrenheit scale, but that’s only part of the story: The dew-point reached 25-27°C, and that is heat and humidity that almost no part of America has ever seen.

The moon-like landscapes surrounding the Himalayan village of Lamayuru attract tourists seeking off-the-beaten track adventures. The village is enchanting, not only for the striking geological formations that frame it, but also for the presence of an 11th Century Buddhist monastery. The rock formations are known as “Moonland”, says Arjun Datta, author of this week’s imaggeo on Mondays featured photograph. “The surreal moon-like rock formations at Lamayuru are nestled in the Greater [...]

I have completed my ooma-ization.  I have my old number back with no more calls from India.  It got so bad that we never answered our phone.  Now we can answer it, for calls from our friends and family. Bell didn't screw up my Internet, I now have a 'dry loop', no extra effort needed. Here's the recipe.  Click on this reference.  This gives me Ooma credit, which I'll probably never use.
