Agaricocrinus splendens Crinoid Fossil

 

This picture is of an Agaricocrinus splendens (Miller & Gurley) crinoid fossil. It was found in the Edwardsville Formation of Montgomery County, Indiana USA. It dates to the Mississippian Period.

The picture was taken in June 2023 on the first floor of the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. USA.
